After working for Kwame Nkrumah University of Science
and Technology (KNUST), Martin Kwaku Kumah adquired a farm at Anwomaso, not far
from Domeabra. In 1998, he decided to relocate the
farm in Domeabra, because he needed a more spacious field to expand his
activities. Step by step, he started the construction of fishponds and
developed new activities until leading a 20 acres farm, and employing an
average of 15 workers.
Mr Kumah always tries to learn new skills, taking part in workshops in Ghana and abroad. The farm has been rewarded many times since its creation, particularly for its aquaculture activity.

1999 – Participated in an international
workshop on Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture in Accra, organized by the Food
and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and IBSRAM
2002 – Best National Aquaculture Farmer,
Ghana
2002 - Attended UN World's Summit on
Sustainable Development in South Africa. Martin was the only Ghanaian farmer
sponsored to the summit by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI).
He presented two papers on Food Security and Water Management
2004 – Gold in aquaculture (first Atlantic
Excellence Award from Manhyia Palace)
